Customize Your Treatment for Your Lifestyle

Dr. Lotz has extensive experience treating children, teens and adults with clear aligners (like Invisalign), clear braces and traditional metal braces. At Evergreen Orthodontics, we provide options, and everyone loves choices! You will leave with a full understanding of the best treatment for you based on your unique needs, lifestyle and smile goals.

Fixed Appliances Vs. Removable Appliances

At Evergreen Orthodontics, we believe you should be fully educated when it comes to your treatment. It’s important to understand the difference between fixed and removable appliances.

Fixed appliances, like metal and clear braces, are attached to your teeth and aren’t removed until you complete your treatment at our North Atlanta office.

Removable appliances, such as clear aligners like Invisalign, are worn the majority of the day but can be removed to eat, drink, and brush/floss. You have more freedom to eat and drink what you want and have fewer restrictions.

However, removable appliances require a commitment to wearing the appliance as prescribed by Dr. Lotz to ensure that you have the outcome you desire. Instead of coming to our office to get your wires “tightened,” you will wear a series of trays over the course of your treatment that will gradually move your teeth into place.
